Luminaires with asymmetrical light distribution are particularly suitable for illuminating wide paths or open spaces. The light is directed strongly downwards and effectively shielded above the horizontal plane. The result is a high degree of illuminance in the near field with reduced glare potential – offering exceptional visual comfort even on surfaces oriented transversely to the luminaire.
Where linear light distribution is a priority, bollard luminaires with a narrow, ellipsoidal light cone can be used. Their flat beam light distribution enables precise and efficient illumination along paths.
If uniform light distribution over longer distances is required, luminaires with wide, flat beam light distribution offer the ideal solution. They produce a wider ellipsoidal light cone that ensures uniform illumination even when the luminaires are spaced further apart – ideal for long paths or areas such as squares.
